Boy Scout Youth Protection Policy
BSA policy requires all adults working with Scouts to complete the online Youth Protection Training. Use this link to the NCAC web site to conduct your training. You do not need BSA registration to complete the training. If you have BSA registration, you may enter your registration number in the appropriate section.
Diocese of Arlington Child Protection and Safety
All adults, Catholic or not, working with youth under the auspices of the Arlington Catholic Diocese must complete the Virtus training and background checks. Use this link to the Office for Child Protection for further information.
Internet Publishing & Photo Model Release and Permission Policy
The Catholic Committee on Scouting and Camp Fire for the Diocese of Arlington maintains a World Wide Web site for purposes of publicizing it's Catholic Scouting program. If a photo depicting a person’s face or unique identifying characteristics is published, it should not include names, and it may only be published after the individual has granted written permission by signing a model release available at our photo release page.
Web Site Contact Release and Permission
The Catholic Committee on Scouting and Camp Fire, Diocese of Arlington (CCoS) maintains a World Wide Web site for purposes of publicizing its Catholic Scouting program and supporting its leaders and membership. The CCoS Web site generally contains contact information (name, phone and email address) for various committee volunteers and event coordinators. Such posting is generally beneficial to the Catholic Scouting program since it provides ready contact access to those wishing to participate in committee meetings and events. It is CCoS’s policy that such contact information not be posted without the written permission of the individual whose information is posted. (CCoS has taken reasonable steps in its Web site design to prevent malicious collection of email addresses from its Web site and trains its Webmasters in methods to further minimize such email address scraping.) Please print, fill out, sign and forward to the committee the form at internet release.
